Discipline Manager - Instrumentation & Controls - Position and Responsibilities

As an I&C Discipline Manager (DM) at Middough, you will manage and direct a team to complete assigned project work on time, within budget, and in accordance with applicable codes / standards and Middough guidelines. As the DM, you will also administer corporate policies and coach / develop direct reports. The DM also provides technical leadership and assists engineers in solving complex design engineering problems through state-of-the-art technology and drives all related efforts in the development of, and advancement in technology excellence.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :

• Plan, develop, coordinate, motivate, and direct a team through the successful completion of projects.
• Perform engineering analysis and design on complex or unique problems.
• Use Company work processes to provide quality checks and reviews of all assigned projects.
• Provide support and input for client proposals, SOQ's, and presentations.
• Use scheduling tool(s) to prepare and maintain schedules ensuring projects are on time and within budget projections.
• Manage quality and accuracy standards and review / approve completed design plans.
• Collaborate with senior management and Human Resources on team recruiting needs.
• Assist with the support of business development activities.
