Admin Support (Non-Clinical)
At Henry Ford Home Infusion, our professional staff are dedicated to providing quality individualized home infusion and nutritional management services. Services are ordered by a physician and offer a safe and effective alternative to hospital treatment and allow patients to resume their normal work activities and lifestyle in a more-timely manner.
General Summary :
Under general supervision of the Leader of Central Intake, is responsible for :
- Intake of new referrals by phone, fax and / or computer.
- Enters referral demographics into computer.
- Coordinates insurance coverage with the Billing department.
- Assists with coordination of care.
- Routinely interacts with physicians, nurses, case managers and the general public regarding the coordination of patients' transitions of care and ongoing care in the home.
Education :
Requires a high school diploma or GED.College level coursework in business preferred.Experience :
Requires a minimum of two (2) years of intake, customer service or billing experience.Home Health Care intake or billing experience preferred.General knowledge of medical coding and medical terminology required.Advanced computer knowledge, keyboard experience and Microsoft Office experience required;Knowledge of Epic preferred.Ability to analyze and improve intake procedures required.
