Salary : starting at $20 / hr

Position Overview :

The Facilities Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the facility, overseeing the setup and tear down for weekly church ministries and approved outside events. This position also supports the general maintenance of the building, from basic repairs to larger projects. You will act as a liaison for repair companies and contractors, reporting directly to the Facilities Director.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Event Coordination :

Manage and execute the set-up and tear-down for all weekly scheduled events, church ministries, and approved external events across the facility.

  • Maintenance & Repairs :
  • Conduct regular inspections of the building to ensure it remains in good working condition, both inside and out.

  • Ability to perform basic plumbing, electrical, and drywall repairs.
  • Schedule, oversee, and coordinate larger repair projects.
  • Assist with landscaping and general upkeep of the property.
  • Team Leadership :
  • Lead, recruit, and manage a team of Set-Up and Tear-Down contributors for both internal ministries and external events.

  • Mentor and support other coordinators in the department, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to standard.
  • Preventive Maintenance & Inventory :
  • Oversee the completion of tasks on the Preventative Maintenance Checklist.

  • Track inventory and supplies used throughout the building, maintaining records and ensuring availability.
  • Communication & Collaboration :
  • Regularly update the Facilities Director on maintenance status, repairs, and ongoing projects.

  • Work closely with ministry departments to assist with project needs and build requests.
  • Requirements & Skills :

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and maintain high levels of self-discipline.
  • Strong relational and communication skills, capable of working well with different teams and individuals.
  • Physically capable of lifting and maneuvering heavy items, including furniture, equipment, supplies, and tools as required for set-up and maintenance.
  • Strong focus on quality, ensuring tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and general building maintenance.
  • Basic computer skills for scheduling, communication, and record-keeping.
  • Dependable, professional, and adaptable to changes in schedules or project needs.
  • Ability to lead a team and mentor other coordinators.
  • Experience with scheduling, performing, and coordinating general building maintenance.
  • Position Details :

  • Full-time position (40 hours per week).
  • Pay range : starting at $20 / hr, depending on experience. plus full benefits.
  • Anticipated Time Commitments

  • 40 hours / week : Monday Friday (weekends as needed)
  • 1-hour unpaid lunch break is allowed when working over 5 hours in one day or option to do a working lunch instead.
  • Special Administrative Events / Needs : As needed and agreed upon
