Inova Children's Multispecialty - Willow Oaks is looking for a dedicated Outpatient Lactation Consultant to join the team. This role will be full time day shift from Monday - Friday, 8 : 00am - 4 : 30pm.

Job Location : 8280 Willow Oaks Corporate Drive, Fairfax, VA 22031

Outpatient Lactation Consultant Job Responsibilities :

  • Combines expert clinical experience with dedicated, personalized care to allow each mother to find the best version of breastfeeding success for herself and her baby.
  • Evaluates maternal history, patient medical and clinical information, and assesses patient / parent needs to develop and implement the most appropriate lactation plan of care.
  • Applies scientific knowledge to the process of diagnosis and treatment.
  • Instructs patients and caregivers on lactation plan.

    • Minimum Qualifications :

  • Education : Bachelor's Degree in Nursing- or Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition-or Bachelor's Degree in related field
  • Licensure : International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. RN current licensure to practice as Registered Nurse by VA Board of Nurse Examiners or Registered Dietician
  • Experience : 2 years of lactation experience
  • Certification : BLS from the American Heart Association.
