We are looking for an experienced Financial Analyst / Manager to take charge of financial operations for a diverse portfolio of construction projects located in Greensboro, North Carolina. This role involves overseeing budgets, ensuring compliance with Affordable Housing financing requirements, and delivering strategic insights to optimize resources. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in construction financial management while leading and mentoring a dedicated accounting team.
Responsibilities :
- Supervise financial management for multiple construction projects, ensuring accurate cost tracking, financial reporting, and timely lender draw requests.
- Monitor project budgets to identify cost variances and recommend areas for improvement to maximize efficiency.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with lending institutions to ensure seamless funding processes for Affordable Housing projects.
- Oversee loan disbursement procedures and ensure compliance with lender requirements.
- Lead the budgeting process for construction projects, aligning financial goals with organizational objectives.
- Provide detailed cash flow forecasts and financial analysis to guide strategic decision-making.
- Directly manage and mentor a team of two accounting team members, fostering collaboration and growth.
- Conduct market rate analysis and identify trends to optimize financial outcomes and navigate compliance regulations.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop strategic financial initiatives that enhance organizational performance.
- Ensure the use of advanced financial tools and techniques for accurate and efficient reporting
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Proven experience in project accounting and job costing within the construction industry.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, analysis, and budgeting processes.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other financial software tools.
- Exceptional interpersonal and leadership abilities to manage teams and maintain stakeholder relationships.
- Familiarity with Affordable Housing financing and tax credit regulations.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience conducting variance analyses and providing actionable insights for cost optimization.
