Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position in a Level III high-risk setting, requiring 2.5-3 years of experience and active NJ or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

Work in a hospital Labor and Delivery unit at a Level III high-risk facility

Day shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week (7 : 00–19 : 00)

May float to High Risk OB unit and up to two nearby lower-volume hospitals if needed

Cares for patients including early inductions, antepartum, and those on continuous monitoring in high-risk settings

Block scheduling considered but not guaranteed

Every other weekend and every other holiday required

Uses Epic charting system (experience preferred)

Scrubs provided by hospital

Responsibilities include caring for high risk labor and delivery patients and providing support in high-risk obstetric care

Floating to other units or local hospitals is not common but may be required within scope of practice

RTO (requested time off) must be provided at time of submission; additional RTO not accepted after submission

First-time travelers are accepted for this position

Requirements

Active NJ or compact RN license required

2.5-3 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience required

Certifications required : BLS, ACLS, NRP

Must pass a Dysrhythmia test within 72 hours of signing, with up to two attempts (test must be taken on PC)

COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required with no exemptions
