Job Overview : The Loan Servicing Officer or Senior Loan Servicing Specialist works with the Loan Operations Management Team and is primarily responsible in assisting and identifying weaknesses within Loan Operations established departmental guidelines and procedures to allow for (i) increase quality and efficiencies; (ii) eliminate bottlenecks in operational functions; and (iii) improve quality that simplifies work processes and improve customer satisfaction. Additional responsibilities include managing and providing monthly departmental reports to Executive Management Team, reconciling departmental GL Accounts, and performing Post Quality Control Reviews on closed and loan servicing transactions. These responsibilities are to be performed under limited supervision.
Key Responsibilities :
- Coordinate and collaborate with Loan Operations Management Team to identify, facilitate and implement process improvement initiatives. Including but not limited to the following backroom operational functions :
- Develop and maintain loan servicing procedures that are consistent with the bank’s overall operational objectives as well as keeping within guidelines of the Federal and State regulations.
- Train and develop Loan Servicing Specialists on all aspects of loan servicing functions.
- Coordinate all aspects of loan servicing functions as it relates to transactions pertaining to real estate, non-real estate and consumer mortgage loans that are reflected on the JHA Platform Loan System.
- Manage review and / or validation processes for all aspects of loan fundings including but not limited to initial, subsequent, and construction advances in addition to boarding onto JHA Platform Loan System.
- Manage imaging and / or scanning processes for all loan documentation for all loan types.
- Oversee managing and / or monitoring processes for cited credit and collateral exception ticklers for all loans.
- Manage and prepare monthly reports and provide to Executive Management Team as required and within the requested time constraints.
- Reconcile Loan Operations GL Accounts as required by utilizing system generated reports along with supporting documentation to verify revenue and expense transactions for purposes of ensuring all performed Loan Operations transactions are in-balance, recorded correctly and placed in the appropriate account as a credit and / or debit.
- Perform completeness verification and Post Quality Control Reviews to ensure all closing and servicing transactions are performed in compliance to the bank’s (i) Loan Policies, Procedures & Regulatory requirements; (ii) established Departmental Guidelines; (iii) Terms and Conditions as stated in Credit Request Report (CRR) are in alignment with loan documents; and Core Loan System; and (iv) ensures that loan documents are complete and accurate.
- Work closely with all parties to resolve any identified issues and / or errors that arise or potential fraud up to Loan Operations Management Team.
