Eagle Home Medical is seeking dedicated Respiratory Therapists to join our Clarksburg, WV team. This position plays a vital role in supporting our Veterans by ensuring the highest quality of respiratory care in accordance with Veterans Affairs (VA) contracts.

Responsibilities

Perform respiratory therapy visits for VA patients in accordance with contract requirements, including

Conduct ventilator checks, including documentation of ventilator status, backup units, circuit changes, and patient / family education on equipment use, maintenance, and emergency protocols.

Complete and forward all required documentation for follow-ups, telephone calls, and home visits as outlined by Eagle Home Medical and VA standards.

Report all incidents, suspected abuse, or neglect involving patients, caregivers, or equipment promptly, with proper documentation.

Perform additional respiratory therapy-related duties as assigned.

Clinical Skills

Expertise in oxygen therapy, ventilator setup, and maintenance

Proficiency in conducting respiratory assessments and monitoring patient progress

Ability to educate patients and families on equipment use, safety, and emergency protocols

Strong knowledge of infection control standards and practices

Technical Skills

Skilled in operating and troubleshooting respiratory therapy equipment (oxygen concentrators, ventilators, CPAP / BiPAP devices, nebulizers)

Accurate and timely completion of medical documentation and patient records

Ability to safely transport, set up, and service medical equipment in patient homes

Soft Skills

Strong communication and patient education abilities

Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care

Independent decision-making and problem-solving skills in home settings

Adaptability and flexibility when responding to on-call emergencies

Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills

Professionalism and accountability when representing the company in patients homes

Qualifications

High School Diploma (minimum)

Respiratory Therapy Degree required

NBRC Certification and applicable state licensure
