Job Title : Weaver

Location : Sanford Area

Shift : 1st (typically 7 : 00 AM to 3 : 00 PM) - Pay - $17.50 / hour

Full-Time On-Site

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Weaver to join our production team. In this hands-on role, you will operate loom machinery, maintain quality standards, and handle essential materials to support continuous production. If you're a team player who enjoys physical, detail-oriented work, this is a great opportunity to learn and grow with us.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate loom equipment while ensuring consistent product quality
  • Inspect production runs for correct yarn colors and bobbin use
  • Monitor and communicate inventory needs for yarn, jute, and cotton
  • Replace bobbins, thread yarn, and address yarn issues
  • Conduct basic repairs and troubleshoot loom or raw goods problems
  • Keep creel and loom areas clean and organized
  • Load jute tables and perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team
  • Comfortable using computer modules for loom operations
  • Consistent, reliable attendance and a positive work ethic
  • Education & Experience

  • No prior experience or education required
  • On-the-job training provided
  • Physical Requirements

    This is a physically active role requiring :

  • Continuous standing and walking on concrete and wood surfaces
  • Frequent bending, stretching, pushing, pulling, crouching, kneeling, and overhead tasks
  • Working from unusual positions such as on your back, knees, overhead, or in tight spaces
  • Lifting and moving items up to 50 pounds, such as yarn and jute bobbins
  • Stair and step ladder climbing to access upper creel levels
  • Manual dexterity for tying knots and handling tools
  • Visual attention to yarn paths, loom function, and color accuracy
  • Good balance and mobility throughout the work area
  • Work Conditions & Safety

  • Industrial environment with moderate to high noise levels (earplugs recommended)
  • Use of scissors and utility knives (cut-proof gloves recommended)
  • Continuous movement on hard surfaces and elevated platforms
  • Exposure to dust and fiber lint during operation
