RN Night Shift Supervisor (Phoenix)

Position Overview :

Seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to supervise night shift operations at Phoenix. This role ensures patient care, staff supervision, and proper administration of medications and treatments. The Night Shift Supervisor leads CNAs and cart nurses, coordinates shift assignments, and maintains compliance with nursing standards and facility regulations.

Key Responsibilities :

• Ensure CNA staff and cart nurses are properly assigned and on units.
• Complete day shift assignments for the incoming shift.
• Administer medications and perform treatments within scope of license.
• Conduct initial admission assessments, assist with MDS assessments, and care plan development.
• Supervise night shift staff and guide in emergencies.
• Perform and document ADLs (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding, mobility) as needed.
• Participate in shift hand-offs and interdisciplinary communication.
• Conduct staff training and development programs.
• Utilize AMS concepts for problem solving, workflow improvements, and efficiency.
• Apply gerontological nursing principles, observe patient conditions, and adjust care accordingly.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and agency regulations regarding nursing and medications.
