Job Title : Dietetic Tech

Location : Main Hospital, 3401 Civic Center Blvd, MAIN, Philadelphia, PA 19104

Duration : 3+ months contract (with a possibility for an extension. But, no guarantees)

Education : Associate's Degree (Community College, MBO)

Shift Details : 08 : 30 AM - 05 : 00 PM

Job Description :

• Provides nutrition care under supervision of a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN).
• Implements and monitors nutritional interventions as directed by the RDN.
• Calculates and documents patient calorie / nutrient intake.
• Assists RDs with data collection and input into diet analysis software.
• Educates patients / families on special diets, formulas, and nutrition needs.
• Understands use of commercial supplements, tube feeding, infant formula, and feeding modulars.
• Provides lactation education and assists with breast pump maintenance.
• Uses aseptic technique and follows all safety and sanitation protocols.
• Participates in creating educational materials and supporting lactation programs.
• Basic knowledge of pediatric medical nutrition therapy.
