Local Contract Nurse RN - Intermediate Care - $60-67 per hour

Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Intermediate Care Discipline : RN Start Date : 11 / 03 / 2025 Duration : 16 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, rotating Employment Type : Local Contract Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Registered Nurse We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) RN to join our progressive care team. The IMCU RN plays a vital role in managing patients who require a higher level of care than a general medical-surgical unit, but not intensive enough for the ICU. This role requires strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and the ability to respond quickly to patient needs. Key Responsibilities : Provide direct care to patients with complex medical needs, including cardiac, respiratory, and post-surgical conditions Monitor and assess patients closely for any changes in condition and intervene as necessary Administer medications, perform treatments, and manage IV drips (including cardiac drips per protocol) Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care Maintain accurate, timely documentation and adhere to hospital policies and safety standards Qualifications : Active RN license in good standing Minimum 2 years of acute care experience , with at least 1 year in a step-down, IMCU, or telemetry unit BLS and ACLS certifications required Proficient in cardiac monitoring and interpretation of EKGs Strong critical thinking and time management skills Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401K offered.
