Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented RFID Testing Engineer based in the Bay Area to validate, test, and optimize RFID-based systems and components. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with RFID tags, readers, antennas, and middleware, and will ensure RFID solutions meet functional, performance, and compliance requirements.

This is a hybrid role - you will work remotely most days and only come onsite when hands-on testing with physical devices is required.

Key Responsibilities

Design, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts for RFID systems.

Conduct functional, performance, and compatibility testing of RFID tags, readers, antennas, and related software.

Validate RFID read / write performance under various environmental and operational conditions.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware, firmware, and software) to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

Support field validation, pilot deployments, and customer acceptance testing as required.

Document testing procedures and maintain version-controlled test artifacts.

Experience :

2 5 years of experience in RFID testing, RF communication, or wireless system validation.

Strong understanding of RFID technologies (LF, HF, UHF, NFC).

Hands-on experience with RFID readers, configuration tools, and diagnostic software.

Skills :

Proficiency in using RF test equipment (spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators).

Knowledge of test management and bug-tracking tools.

Familiarity with scripting or automation (Python, MATLAB, etc.) preferred.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and manage hybrid remote / onsite testing schedules effectively.

Additional Information

Candidate must be located in the Bay Area and available for occasional onsite testing.

Minimal travel outside the region may be required for field testing or pilot deployments.
