Controller

We are seeking a strategic, entrepreneurial-minded Accounting Leader to lead and evolve the accounting function for our client. This is a unique opportunity to shape financial operations, gain global exposure, and contribute to strategic growth in a privately held organization headquartered in Atlanta.

Responsibilities :

Direct all aspects of accounting and financial reporting across multiple entities.

Design and implement internal controls and financial risk protocols.

Deliver timely and accurate financial statements.

Partner with external advisors to manage tax planning and compliance.

Serve as the key point of contact for the external auditors.

Cultivate a high-performing accounting team through mentorship and leadership.

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred).

9+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 4+ years in leadership.

Deep knowledge of financial reporting, tax regulations, and compliance.

Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Proven leadership in driving financial efficiencies and team development.

Excellent communication and executive presence.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco / Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
