The Retail Product Manager is responsible for the end-to-end management of assigned product lines, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives and market demands. This role involves close collaboration with customers, manufacturing partners, and internal teams to drive product development, launch, and performance. Experience working as a supplier to major retail accounts such as Walmart, Walgreens, and CVS is highly desirable.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Product Lifecycle Management : Oversee the entire product lifecycle from conception to discontinuation, ensuring products meet market needs and achieve financial targets.
- Market Research : Conduct thorough market analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform product strategy.
- Customer Engagement : Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners, understanding their requirements and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Manufacturing Collaboration : Work closely with manufacturing partners to ensure product quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
- Cross-Functional Coordination : Collaborate with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to develop and execute go-to-market strategies.
- Performance Monitoring : Analyze product performance metrics, gather customer feedback, and implement improvements to optimize product success.
Quality & Regulatory
Develop understanding of industry regulations relevant to our product portfolioPartner with quality team to ensure commercial activities align with appropriate distribution per each product’s approved intended useResponsible for maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant Quality Management System (QMS) procedures and supporting QMS processes as requiredQUALIFICATIONS
Education : Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.Experience : Minimum of 5 years of product management experience in the retail industry, with a proven track record of managing products sold through major retailers like Walmart, Walgreens, and CVS.Skills :Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners.Familiarity with manufacturing processes and supply chain management.Preferred Qualifications :
Experience in product development within the consumer goods sector.Knowledge of retail merchandising strategies and planogram development.Understanding of digital marketing and e-commerce platforms.
