Account Director, Business Development

Account Director, Business Development will be responsible for identifying, securing, and nurturing business relationships to drive growth and profitability across all specialty areas within Inizio Engage Medical Affairs.

This role involves strategic planning, identifying new business opportunities, working across specialty areas to connect subject matter experts to help solidify opportunities.

What you will be doing :

  • Leverage pre-existing relationships and proactively network to identify, establish, and expand business engagements.
  • Interface with leaders within Inizio Engage to further drive growth.
  • Proactively shape relationship(s) with clients at multiple levels and in multiple functional areas within the client organization in order to identify needs and align with Inizio Engage Medical Affairs service offerings.
  • Track opportunities, coordination, and support during the proposal development process.
  • Keep abreast with progress of sold projects related to satisfactory deliverables, in order to leverage into further growth opportunities.
  • Establish relationships with Medical Affairs leaders in the industry.
  • Clear understanding of the Inizio Engage service offerings independently and how they work together in order to customize solutions for targeted clients.
  • Qualify prospective clients in accordance with sales process, determine project timeframe, key contacts and convert qualified leads to opportunities.
  • Manage the entire process of new client acquisition including introduction, capabilities presentations, relationship development, proposal acquisition and oversight, and sales closing.
  • Provide input into the proposal / opportunity process, in partnership with the Client Solutions and Growth Enablement teams.
  • Provide routine updates to opportunities and log all requested activities to meet KPI expectations.
  • What do you need for this position?

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work-related experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device commercialization needs.
  • Minimum of 10 years demonstrated successful selling experience in and around the pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device arena (selling service solutions to pharma, biotech and medical device clients preferred).
  • Additional experience(s) across the pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device space is preferred to better understand the flow of decisions / challenges that exist to improve opportunity spotting to drive growth.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Ability and willingness to build from scratch with accounts.
  • Pipeline management and strong organizational skills.
  • Field-based sales position with ability to travel up to 50%
