Description :

Under the supervision of the sterile processing supervisor, the technician is responsible for performing duties related to the basic function of the department.

The technician must follow hospital policies and procedures.

The technician is responsible for properly cleaning and preparing instrumentation for sterilization.

Transportation of soiled and sterile instruments to the operating room area is required.

It is essential to maintain competency in sterile processing processes.

The technician should maintain good communication with co-workers and supervisors.

Other duties may be assigned by the sterile processing supervisor, charge technician, or director.
