General Description : Oversee daily operations of plant from production, planning and manufacturing to ensure policies and procedures are followed. Develop processes that maximize stewardship, safety, quality, and productivity.
Reports to : Vice President Operations
Responsibilities :
- Plan, organize, direct, and run day-to-day operations to exceed (internal / external) customers’ expectations.
- Increase production, capacity and flexibility while maintaining current quality standards
- Be responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shipping
- Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results
- Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions
- Share a trusting relationship with workgroup & recruit, manage and develop plant staff
- Collect and analyze data to find places of waste or overtime
- Commit to plant safety procedures
- Address employees’ issues or grievances
- Repair, Replace and augment plant equipment as needed.
- Create a production schedule through an ERP System
- Schedule regular maintenance for equipment.
- Interview, hire, and train new employees.
- Open and close building
- Approve time records for some 70+ union employees.
- Purchase needed production supplies.
Minimum Educational Qualifications (If Applicable) :
Engineering degree or equivalent work experience required.
Minimum Previous Experience (If Applicable) :
10+ years plant management experience or Degree and 3+ years plant management experience
Minimum Additional Training (If Applicable) :
