Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring recent Epic experience and a VT or compact RN license.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Position is based in a Women and Children unit with a focus on Labor & Delivery and LDRP care
  • Work involves assisting with deliveries, neonatal care, and newborn medication administration
  • Requires 12-hour night shifts on a rotating schedule
  • Floating within Women and Children’s services may be required
  • Must be available to work every other weekend or as the needs of the unit dictate
  • 24 hours of on-call required every 4 weeks
  • Travelers must work two out of four major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Year's Day)
  • Epic EMR experience from within the past two years is required
  • Responsibilities include participating in deliveries, neonatal resuscitation, and post-delivery care for newborns
  • Reliable personal or rental transportation is strongly advised due to lack of public transportation in the area
  • Vehicle should be equipped with all-season or snow tires during November to April
  • Bi-weekly Monday orientation available
  • No block scheduling is permitted
  • All employment gaps over 90 days should be accounted for
  • Travelers must provide comprehensive work history for consideration

  • Active VT or compact RN license required
  • Current certifications : BLS and NRP are mandatory; ACLS, PALS (or PEARS), and STABLE preferred
  • Minimum one year of Labor & Delivery and LDRP experience required for consideration
  • Prior travel nursing experience required
  • Experience as a baby nurse at delivery and in neonatal resuscitations, assigning APGAR scores, and giving newborn medications required
  • Epic EMR experience within the past two years is required
