Position Summary
We are seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 2–4 years of practicing experience, including at least 1.5 years of substantive civil litigation in a law-firm setting. Candidates must demonstrate hands-on civil litigation work (outside of state- or federal-government roles).
Key Responsibilities
- Pleadings & Motion Practice : Draft and file complaints, answers, motions, and briefs in state and federal courts.
- Discovery Management : Prepare interrogatories, requests for production, subpoenas; review and organize documents; oversee e-discovery workflows.
- Legal Research & Analysis : Conduct in-depth case-law research; craft legal memoranda and trial exhibits.
- Client & Opposing-Counsel Liaison : Maintain clear client communications, manage outside-counsel relationships, and coordinate with court clerks.
- Court Appearances & Hearings : Attend and argue routine motions; support partners at depositions and hearings.
- Case Strategy : Collaborate in strategy sessions, develop timeline and budget estimates, and track critical deadlines.
Required Qualifications
J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school; admission to the Florida Bar in good standing2–4 years of litigation experience at a law firm, including 1.5 years of civil litigation outside government rolesProficiency with Florida Rules of Civil Procedure and federal-court practiceStrong drafting, advocacy, and oral-argument skillsExcellent organizational ability and judgment in managing multiple matters
