SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
Responsible for overall safety of all persons and property associated with the facility. This is a working position responsible for scheduling security staff, evaluations, investigations and may directly work with outside officials. Also is responsible for preparing the schedule of, and arranging transportation for a myriad of activities throughout the retirement community each month in conjunction with transportation drivers, PALS and the Program Coordinator. Also, monitor the maintenance of all service vehicles in conjunction with the Maintenance Department while complying with all regulations. Ensure safe daily operation of Pool and Spa as required by authority having jurisdiction.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE :
- High School or equivalent
- Police or Security Officer Training
- CPO certification (within 1 year of hire)

Perform Daily job tasks of Security Officer.Manage emergency call system pull cords on campus (IL, AL, SNF)Safety Coordinator with Maintenance / Security Competencies, Workplace safety and Emergency / Disaster preparedness and Policy.Work with Director of Environmental Services and / or the Maintenance Coordinator to coordinate Fire Suppression System maintenance and inspection to maintain compliance with Local, State and National Standards.Proficient with the installation and operation of low voltage safety devices and insure their proper usage and installation.Hire, train, orient and evaluate Staff. Complete schedule and follow-up to ensure proper staffing at all times. Expected to fill emergency shift vacancy and transportation conflicts as needed.Design / implement various reports / procedures related to Security. File and ensure proper reports for personal / property loss or incidents.Monitor and adjust chemical balance in pool / spa. Ensure security staff is also performing these duties. Report mechanical issues to Maintenance.Perform small maintenance and housekeeping duties after hours as needed to reduce the need for overtime and call-ins for these departments.Provide assistance to residents as they may request or deliver packages, meals or medication as needed.Each month, schedule transportation for all essential and planned programs through the program department, complete with maps and directions.Coordinate resident billing for services providedWork with individual residents and drivers to provide individualized Transportation services as requested.Maintain vehicles in good mechanical order by working with the Maintenance Department to repair any malfunctions as they arise.Maintain and update driver files with regard to ODOT complianceAssist with driving duties as neededAttend in-services, departmental meetings and other as requested by Director of Environmental Services.Present Emergency Preparedness segment in New Hire OrientationPresent Emergency Preparedness policy to residents annuallyJOB ACCOUNTABILITIES – Other :
