Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A small, patient-focused acute care hospital is seeking an experienced DOP for a 3-month+ travel (or local) assignment. This role requires proven leadership as a hospital Director of Pharmacy and offers the chance to guide a pharmacy team through an important transition period.
Schedule : 40 hours per week, SundayThursday
Weekend / On-Call : No on-call coverage
Type : Interim Travel / Contract (approx. 3+ months, until permanent hire)
Start Date : October 5 (overlap with current DOP for smooth handoff)
Key Responsibilities :
Direct all pharmacy operations and staff to ensure safe, efficient inpatient medication management.
Maintain full regulatory pliance and lead preparations for the Joint mission survey (Spring 2025).
Coordinate pharmacy in-services, quality-improvement initiatives, duplicate-therapy action plans, and data reporting.
Provide administrative leadership while covering staffing duties as needed.
Requirements :
Active + clear Texas pharmacist license.
Documented experience as a Hospital Director of Pharmacy.
Strong inpatient acute care background with both administrative and clinical expertise.
Familiarity with Cerner / Siemens (legacy Rx system) and Omnicell automation (highly preferred).

Team & Environment
Average Daily Census : ~35 beds
Pharmacy Staff : 1 Clinical Pharmacist, 4 PRN Pharmacists, 5 Full-Time Technicians, 3 PRN Technicians
Technicians perform traditional tech functions in a collaborative environment.
