job_description.job_card.job_descriptionBachelor’s or Master’s degree and / or equivalent work experience preferred 10+ years of experience in software quality engineering preferred 5+ years in a leadership role preferred Proven experience in regulated industries such as life sciences, healthcare, or pharmaceuticals Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills Familiarity with Agile / Scrum / SAFe methodologies Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress), and CI / CD pipelines Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and modern development practices
Our SaaS client is well-positioned in the Health & Life Science space, rapidly growing, and seeking a new Director of Software Quality Assurance! The Director will lead their quality engineering function across multiple product lines. This role will be responsible for defining and executing the quality strategy, ensuring our software meets the highest standards of reliability, performance, and compliance in a regulated environment.
Boston, MA $160,000
Responsibilities
- Develop and lead the overall software quality engineering strategy, including automation, performance, and manual testing
- Build and mentor a high-performing team of QA engineers and automation specialists, both on-shore and off-shore
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Regulatory teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle
- Establish and maintain quality metrics, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms to drive continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations (e.g., GxP, FDA, ISO)
- Drive adoption of modern testing frameworks, tools, and practices
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes for critical issues
- Champion a culture of quality, accountability, and innovation
- Other duties as assigned
