Clinical Duties : Provide general and trauma surgical care to pediatric patients aged 0-17 (trauma care limited to ages 0-15). Administrative Duties : Utilize the Cerner EMR system for all patient documentation and management. Rounding : Perform rounds on both inpatients and outpatients, ensuring continuous care. On-call Duties : Provide 24-hour call coverage with clinic hours from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday. Call starts at 7 AM and ends at 6 : 59 AM the following day. Comprehensive Coverage : Involve both clinical hours and call, ensuring diverse and engaging work. Advanced EMR System : Utilize Cerner for efficient and streamlined patient management. Collaborative Team : Work with a supportive team including 4 Advanced Care Practitioners (ACPs) and 2 Medical Assistants (MAs). Flexible Scheduling : Opportunity for multiple providers to share call duties, with up to 8 phone consults per month handled by ACPs first. Board Certification : Must be board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Surgery and Trauma. Licensure : Must hold an active medical license in the state of Florida. Certifications : ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications are required. Fellowship : Preferred but not mandatory. Experience : Prior experience in pediatric and trauma surgery is preferred. Credentialing : The estimated credentialing timeframe is 90 days. Patient Demographics : Pediatric patients aged 0-17, with trauma care for ages 0-15. Support Staff : Includes 4 ACPs and 2 MAs. Practice Setting : Both inpatient and outpatient care. Reason for Need : Supplemental coverage due to a shortage of one provider.
