Senior Bioinformatics Scientist

A company is looking for a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist.

Key Responsibilities

Lead data analysis and interpretation of complex biological datasets, including next-generation sequencing and metagenomics

Create or adapt computational tools and algorithms to support biomarker discovery

Drive bioinformatics aspects of cross-functional research projects in collaboration with scientific and medical leaders

Required Qualifications

Ph.D. in relevant fields with 3+ years of postdoctoral or industry experience, or a Master's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience

Publications demonstrating innovative mathematical or computational models in biological data interpretation

Strong background in modern statistics and machine learning applied to biomarker discovery

Proficiency with high-dimensional, large-scale datasets

Experience with bioinformatics tools and workflows related to next-generation sequencing data analysis
