As a Security Officer - Mall Patrol Biking in Birmingham, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will have the opportunity to help create a secure environment in a dynamic retail and mall location. You will conduct regular patrols, remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to everyone you encounter. Pay Rate : $14.85 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTime

Mon 10 : 00 AM - 06 : 00 PM

Fri 10 : 00 AM - 06 : 00 PM

Sat 10 : 00 AM - 06 : 00 PM

Sun 10 : 00 AM - 06 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and observe for any unusual circumstances.
  • Maintain a visible presence within the location to help to deter potential issues and provide reassurance to patrons and staff.
  • Document and report any incidents, observations, and / or irregularities according to Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
  • Assist with access control for entrances and exits, monitoring for unauthorized individuals or prohibited items.
  • Support emergency response activities as required, including guiding occupants during evacuations or other urgent situations.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Ability to ride a bike for extended periods of time is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
