ECS is hiring : Technical Writer in Suitland

ECS is seeking a Technical Writer to work in our Suitland, MD office. ECS Federal, a rapidly expanding information security and information technology company in Fairfax, VA, is seeking a skilled and experienced Cybersecurity Technical Writer. This full-time, permanent position will support a long-term contract with a US Government civilian agency, focusing on a comprehensive range of cybersecurity services.

The Cybersecurity Technical Writer will be responsible for creating, editing, and maintaining a wide range of cybersecurity documentation. This includes, but is not limited to, policies, procedures, standards, guidelines, security assessments, incident response plans, user manuals, and training materials.

Responsibilities include :

• Develop and Maintain Cybersecurity Documentation : Create and update cybersecurity policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures in alignment with industry best practices (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and regulatory requirements.
• Information Gathering and Analysis : Collaborate closely with cybersecurity engineers, architects, analysts, and other SMEs to gather technical information and understand complex concepts.
• Communication and Collaboration : Translate highly technical information into accessible language for diverse audiences, including technical staff, management, and end-users.
• Quality Assurance and Standards : Ensure all documentation adheres to established style guides, templates, and branding.
