AI Search And SEO Strategy Manager

The AI Search and SEO Strategy Manager drives organic growth across search engines (SEO) and AI-powered answer engines (AEO) to ensure the organization is discoverable and competitive in evolving search ecosystems. This role combines technical SEO expertise, content optimization, structured data management, and AI-focused strategy to maximize organic visibility, traffic, and conversion outcomes. Hybrid position 3 day remote 2 days in the office.

The position will be hands-on in execution while also setting long-term strategy for organic search and AI-driven results.

Your key responsibilities include :

• Strategy Development & Execution
• Build and maintain a comprehensive SEO roadmap addressing technical, content, and off-page initiatives.
• Develop an AEO-specific strategy focusing on emerging platforms (Google SGE, Bing AI, ChatGPT) and optimize for conversational and zero-click search formats.
• Technical SEO & Site Health
• Conduct quarterly technical audits (crawlability, indexation, site speed, Core Web Vitals).
• Oversee structured data / schema implementation to improve eligibility for rich snippets, knowledge panels, and voice search.
• Manage site architecture improvements to support SEO scalability and future AI indexing.
• Partner with developers to resolve technical errors and deploy SEO fixes.
• Manage Google Lighthouse scores and site improvements needed for speed improvements
• Content Optimization & Strategy
• Conduct search intent and keyword gap analyses to inform editorial calendar and content prioritization.
• Optimize all web content for SEO and AI discoverability, including FAQs, long-form content, and structured Q&A formats.
• Work with content teams to create "answer-first" content designed for AI-generated summaries and voice search.
• Test and iterate on content designed for featured snippets and conversational queries.
• Off-Page SEO & Authority Building
• Lead review reply for Google Business, Yelp and other critical review platforms
• Monitor and manage backlink profile health, addressing toxic links or disavows when necessary.
• Explore partnerships to gain citations in AI training datasets and high-authority domains.
• Analytics, Reporting & Insights
• Build monthly and quarterly organic performance dashboards (traffic, conversions, rankings, AI presence).
• Track KPIs for SEO and AEO separately (featured snippets, voice search impressions, AI summaries).
• Conduct competitive benchmarking against direct competitors and AI search trends.
• Translate insights into actionable next steps for leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Perform other duties as needed or assigned.

Compensation : Century Communities Inc. intends to offer the selected candidate an annual base salary in the range of $100,000 - $110,000 with bonus potential. Actual offers will be based on a variety of factors, including experience. Employees will have access to paid time off, medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, and the Company's 401(k) plan.
