About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience : Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab experience required, Interventional Radiology experience highly preferred, 1+ years of experience in Electrophysiology highly preferred, Cardiac Rhythm Interpretation highly preferred.

License : State License in Michigan

Certifications : ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA)

Must-Have :

• Cath Lab experience required
• Interventional Radiology experience highly preferred
• 1+ years of experience in Electrophysiology highly preferred
• Cardiac Rhythm Interpretation highly preferred
• Knowledge of operation of intraaortic balloon pump highly preferred

Description :

This position cares for patients before, during, and after angiography and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures.

Responsibilities include pre-procedure assessment, pre-medication, documentation of the cath process, post-cath care, and patient education.

The position involves scrubbing in for procedures and assisting other members of the cardiac catheterization laboratory.

Nursing care for catheterization and angiography patients will be performed.

The role requires operating equipment such as cardiac output monitors, hemodynamic monitors, pacemakers / ICD's, and the intra-aortic balloon pump.

Transferring patients, stocking supplies, and performing basic office procedures are also expected.

Record all pertinent information on the appropriate data sheets.

The expectation is to provide nursing support to interventional radiology procedures and assist with pre / post-procedure care.
