Must-Have : Must be able to obtain and retain a fingerprint clearance card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety. Current CPR card obtained through physical assessment.
Description :
We are seeking a Wound Care Nurse.
The team offers flexibility in scheduling with options of 7 AM - 3 PM, 8 AM - 4 PM, or 8 AM - 5 PM.
The position is 8 hours, Monday through Friday, with no weekends.
Key duties include performing wound assessments and management for all patients according to policies and procedures.
You will develop skin care programs to prevent skin breakdown in residents.
Participation in the development and implementation of policies and procedures for managing residents with draining wounds and other related issues is required.
The nurse will revise the plan of care based on the resident's response to treatment and evaluate its overall effectiveness.
You will assess and reassess pain, utilizing appropriate management techniques, while educating residents and their families regarding pain management.
Serving as a resource to nursing and other staff, you will provide in-services on wound prevention, wound care, ostomy care, and incontinence as needed.
Effective communication with nursing staff and physicians is essential.
Additionally, consultation with other healthcare professionals will be part of your role to ensure an interdisciplinary approach to resident care.
Documentation must meet current standards and practices.
Participants are expected to attend training and continuing education classes related to wound prevention, management, and ostomies, staying current with new changes and advances in wound care.
Experience in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care environment is preferred.
