As a Security Professional - Flex - Armed Government Center in Reno, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment at a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to all visitors and staff. Position Type : Part Time

Pay Rate : $24.74 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day Time

Monday 07 : 30 AM - 05 : 30 PM

Saturday 07 : 30 AM - 04 : 45 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and / or emergency response activities as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor for unusual activity and report security-related concerns according to established protocols.
  • Interact with visitors, employees, and / or contractors in a courteous manner while maintaining awareness of surroundings.
  • Assist with access control and verify identification as required by site-specific guidelines.
  • Prepare accurate and timely reports on incidents, patrols, and other security-related activities as directed by Allied Universal or site management.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or possess an equivalent qualification.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • CPR and first aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
