job_description.job_card.job_descriptionProvide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as needed. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support the well-being of individuals at the shelter location. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify any unusual conditions. Observe and report any security-related incidents or hazards to the appropriate authorities at the location. Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted behavior and promote a welcoming environment for residents and visitors. Communicate and interact with residents, staff, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner. Assist with access control, verifying credentials of individuals entering and / or exiting the shelter, and follow established procedures. Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred. Access control and / or badge experience is preferred. CPR and / or first aid certification is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a shelter location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help create a secure environment for residents and staff. Your visible presence and attention to detail will help to deter security-related incidents while you provide excellent customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do :
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
