ICU Hospitalist, Full Time, Days - Tulsa, OK

This full-time, daytime ICU hospitalist position offers the opportunity to care for critically ill patients in a high-acuity setting-surrounded by a collaborative team of specialists and intensivists. You'll work in a cutting-edge, 336,000 sq. ft. facility on a beautiful 20-acre campus, equipped with 27 inpatient rooms and 7 ICU beds. With access to leading specialty clinics in neurology, stroke, and cardiology, you'll help deliver exceptional, whole-person care to a community that truly needs it.
Compensation & Schedule
On-site coverage from 7am to 7pm @ $1750 per 12 hour shift, 7 days on, 7 days off (additional shifts available if desired) & comprehensive benefits package with 401K match
Position Responsibilities
Serve as the admitting and attending physician for ICU patients
Manage critical care cases, including respiratory failure, sepsis, multi-organ dysfunction, and post-operative monitoring
Collaborate with consulting specialists (e.g., neurology, neurosurgery, cardiology, interventional radiology) to deliver comprehensive, coordinated care
Provide family guidance regarding prognosis, treatment planning, and goals of care discussions
Work closely with floor hospitalists, ICU nurses, and night coverage providers to ensure continuity of care
Participate in daily interdisciplinary rounds with PT, OT, ST, and Case Management teams
Manage patient census and facilitate inter- and intra-facility transfers as needed
Provide general internal medicine management when ICU census allows
Procedural Requirements
Central & arterial line placement, lumbar puncture, endotracheal intubation, ventilator management and basic ultrasound-guided interventions
Required Privileges
Internal Medicine Core Privileges or Critical Care Core Privileges
Moderate Sedation for Non-Anesthesia Providers (must meet one of the following) :
Current ACLS, ATLS, or PALS / NRP certification and successful completion of a pharmacology-based sedation competency exam ( 80%)
Candidate Qualifications
MD or DO with board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine, Neurology, or Critical Care Medicine
Prior experience in critical care or hospital medicine preferred; additional in-service training is available
