We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Specialist to join our client’s finance team. The ideal candidate will manage all aspects of tax preparation, compliance, and reporting while ensuring accuracy and adherence to federal, state, and local tax laws. This role requires strong analytical skills, a thorough understanding of tax regulations, and the ability to communicate effectively across departments. The anticipated pay range for this role is between $30-$33 / hr.

Responsibilities :

  • Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships.
  • Research and interpret tax laws to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for tax savings.
  • Maintain accurate tax records and documentation to support filings and audits.
  • Assist with quarterly and annual tax provision calculations and reporting.
  • Support external auditors during tax reviews and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.
  • Stay current with changes in tax regulations and advise management of potential impacts.
  • Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or Enrolled Agent preferred).
  • 3+ years of tax preparation and compliance experience in public accounting or corporate tax.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in tax software (e.g., UltraTax, ProSystem fx, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
