We’re looking to hire a Principal UX Architect + Product Designer for an onsite, full-time role in New Orleans, LA with a leading software solutions company. As a founding team member, you will play a critical role in shaping the product design and user experience of their AI platform. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams across Product, Engineering, and Marketing to drive the design vision for AI initiatives.
This opportunity calls for a visionary leader with expert-level UX and UI design skills, storytelling ability, customer journey mapping, thought leadership, and empathy for users.
Principal UX Architect + Product Designer Responsibilities :
Communicate clear and compelling ideas to stakeholders through documentation, reviews, and presentations.
Bridge design, product, engineering, and marketing teams.
Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and customer voices to create a product vision.
Generate detailed design specifications that inspire accurate developer builds.
Work with development and quality teams to deliver polished final products.
Promote and educate others on interface guidelines and design patterns.
Mentor design staff on designing for outcomes versus outputs.
Drive experimentation with AI tools and prototypes.
Set the vision for product creative identity and guide implementation.
Create inclusive designs for all users and advocate for accessibility.
Principal UX Architect + Product Designer Qualifications :
7+ years of experience designing and delivering products from start to finish as part of cross-functional teams.
Experience designing for platforms where automation meets AI (Salesforce experience preferred).
Deep understanding of user-centered design methods and best practices.
Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement.
Ability to thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments while meeting tight deadlines.
Experience using analytics and user research to drive decisions and product iterations.
Ability to distill complex problems and develop elegant solutions.
Systems thinking approach that considers the entire user experience ecosystem.
Expert knowledge of design tools such as Figma and adaptability to new tools.
Experience developing globally accessible software for diverse users.
Experience designing within design systems.
Commitment to ethics and equality in design.
Experience with DevOps tools, methodologies, and understanding of user personas.
BA / BS or MA / MS in a design-related field, or equivalent experience.
