Job Description

Board Certified Polysomnographic Technologists work under the general supervision of the Clinical Manager and provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders, including in-center and home sleep apnea testing, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, patient care, and education. Responsibilities include conducting Polysomnograms, Split-PSG / CPAP studies, CPAP titration, BiPAP, ambulatory studies, and monitoring sleep stages and body position. Technologists will accurately monitor Apnea / Hypopnea index, Oxygen desaturation, and Respiratory index, providing emergent interventions as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum AS or R. PSG T. in Sleep Diagnostics with Board Registration required.
  • Previous lifeguard experience preferred.
  • Board Certification and VA licensure required, including RPSGT (BRPT) and BLS certification.
  • Must hold and maintain licensure in sleep technology in Virginia.

Additional Requirements

  • Knowledge of respiratory and neurodiagnostics related to sleep staging.
  • Ability to train and orient technologists and students.
  • Effective communication skills.
