Open Heart Surgery | CVOR RN- CVOR runs 2-3 rooms each day.

Average # of cases per day : 1-3 cases per day.

Required Certifications : BLS

Illinois nursing license

Minimum of 2 years primary circulating complex open heart procedures.- Scrubbing required

Common Cases : We are a level 1 trauma center and encounter complex cardiothoracic and vascular cases. Typical cases include CABG, valve repair / replacement (AVR, MVR, TVR), Bental, aortic dissections, ECMO, Ventricular assist device (VAD) implants, TAVRS (typically standby if percutaneous, unless needed for cutdown), Carotid endarterectomy, peripheral vascular bypasses, amputations, traumas (vascular, cardiac, thoracic), thoracic cases (thoracotomy, VATS), tracheostomy.
