Winter Park Resort Seasonal Position

This position requires manual labor as necessary for the purpose of snow removal during early mornings before guests arrive. Snow removal operations utilize shovels, snowblowers, and roof rakes to clear pedestrian walkways, entrances and exits of buildings, stairways, decks, and roofs. Must be in excellent physical condition able to withstand sub-zero temperatures and lift heavy weights. Applicant should be outgoing, a team player, hardworking, and demonstrate the ability to work independently.
Hourly pay range : $19.50- $21.50 per hour
Essential duties and responsibilities include :
- Snow removal by hand or snow blower around decks, stairs, roofs and walkways.
- Spread ice melt and sand on icy areas
- Dig out signs, ski racks, trash cans, benches and other objects
- Report safety hazards to appropriate individuals
- Report on time when called in for work
- Be able to fulfill commitment for entire winter season
- Ability to get to Resort by 2am for shift (requires personal transportation)
- Must be available a minimum of 3 on call shifts per week
- Responds to emergency situations including fire, building evacuation, vehicle and pedestrian accidents, flooding, lift failure, and accident evacuation. Assists Security, municipal police and fire departments, and other protective service agencies as necessary.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date logs of all contract work performed.
- Assists other work groups as necessary and performs other duties as directed.
