Cosentino's Price Chopper in Lee's Summit, MO, is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Assistant Store Manager to join our team. This role requires a leader with a strong background in sales, customer service, and operations. The ideal candidate will excel in management, coaching, and problem-solving, driving sales growth and ensuring exceptional customer experiences. This individual will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of store operations, including sales management, merchandising, and team leadership.

Responsibilities :

  • Assist in the development and implementation of sales strategies to achieve store targets, utilizing sales prospecting and selling techniques.
  • Manage and motivate a team of employees, providing coaching and performance feedback to enhance their skills and productivity.
  • Oversee daily store operations, including inventory management, merchandising, and maintaining store standards.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, resolving customer issues and building strong customer relationships.
  • Assist in the execution of marketing initiatives to promote the store and its products.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.
  • Effectively communicate with team members, customers, and vendors, utilizing strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office for reporting and administrative tasks.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a retail management role, demonstrating leadership and management capabilities.
  • Working knowledge of sales management principles and sales processes.
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to resolve customer issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • General knowledge of merchandising principles.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Experience in the grocery or food retail industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve sales goals.
