• Kansas City, MO Schedule : Full-Time | Days Salary Range : $114,857 – $172,328 (based on years of experience) Annual Bonus : Up to 17.5% (Performance-based; 150% upside potential) Sign-On Bonus : Case-by-case Relocation Assistance : Case-by-case Responsibilities : Provide strategic and operational leadership for surgical services, including oversight of the OR, SPD, Pre-op, and PACU Direct patient care delivery, clinical practice standards, and quality improvement initiatives across 18 operating rooms Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards Collaborate with physicians and senior leadership to expand and improve service lines such as trauma, neuro, cardiac, burn, ortho trauma, vascular, and transplant Oversee department budgets, productivity metrics, staffing plans, and operational costs Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and patient-centered care Mentor and manage a team of three managers and up to 100 FTEs Requirements : Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Director of Surgical Services in an acute care setting Will consider experienced Manager of Surgical Services candidates from large facilities with complex service lines Bachelor’s degree required; BSN preferred Master’s degree in nursing, healthcare administration, or related field preferred Facility Overview : 590-bed acute care hospital with Level I Trauma designation Service lines include : trauma, burn, neurosurgery, cardiac (excluding heart / liver transplant), ortho trauma, vascular, and kidney / pancreas transplants 18 ORs (running 11–12 currently due to new anesthesia group transition) Monthly surgical volumes between 400–600 cases Benefits : Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and behavioral health coverage Free telemedicine and AirMed transport services 401(k) with 100% match on 3%–9% of pay (based on years of service) Employee Stock Purchase Plan (10% discount) Education assistance, student loan support, and certification aid Paid time off, family leave, and short / long-term disability coverage Fertility and adoption assistance via Progyny Financial wellness and identity theft protection Pet insurance, legal support, relocation services, and more Free employee-only medical coverage available based on income Note : Benefit eligibility may vary by employment status and location.
