Housekeeper

Under general supervision, performs routine service duties associated with maintaining the hospital in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition. Responsible for performing general housekeeping duties such as but not limited to emptying wastebaskets; vacuums and / or damp dusts ceilings, vents, drapery rods, etc; cleans walls, doors, and windows; dust mops, damp mops floors and stairwells; vacuums and spot cleans carpet, etc.

Position Qualifications :

• Demonstrates ability to treat each patient, visitor, and employee in a courteous and compassionate manner.
• Ability to read written instructions and comprehend verbal instructions.
• Ability to receive and understand directions.
• Able to see problems outside scope of responsibility and take corrective action.
• Ability to adjust to changing conditions and varied work loads.
• Ability to work as a member of a team.
• Ability to articulate and demonstrate commitment to the philosophy, code of ethics / value, mission, and vision of Mercy General Health Partners.

Primary 2nd shift; Secondary mid shift

2 : 30pm to 11pm variable and 12 : 30pm to 9pm variable

Every other weekend; Possible 3 of 4
