FULL JOB DESCRIPTION :

@Southwest Louisiana Independence Center (@SLIC) is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSW) to provide care 2 : 30pm to 8 : 45pm (Mon - Fri) & (Sat-Sun) 2 : 30pm to 8 : 30pm. This is for a disabled female in the Mamou area. The candidate must have a valid drivers license and must be able to safely drive the consumer to the store for shopping, to visit family, and to doctors' appointments she also likes to go to events in the community of Mamou. The DSW do get mileage reimbursements.

The Direct Support Professional is responsible for the physical care of our clients who may no longer be able to take care of themselves due to age, illness, injury, surgery, or disability. The ideal candidate must be able to care for our clients and their property with dignity, patience, compassion, and respect.
