A Senior Manager of FinOps focused on AWS and Azure leads cloud financial operations by driving cost optimization, financial accountability, and strategic alignment across cloud services. This role partners with engineering, finance, and procurement teams to manage cloud spend, forecast budgets, and implement governance frameworks that ensure efficient use of resources.

The manager negotiates contracts and pricing with AWS and Azure, leveraging reserved instances, savings plans, and enterprise agreements to reduce costs. They analyze usage patterns, identify optimization opportunities, and develop financial models to support decision-making. With strong expertise in cloud economics and FinOps principles, they also lead cross-functional initiatives to align cloud investments with business goals, while mentoring teams and promoting a culture of transparency and continuous improvement.

Job / Duties / Responsibilities :

• Strategic visioning : Develop and drive the FinOps strategy, aligning cloud financial goals with broader organizational objectives.
• Budgeting and forecasting : Develop and handle public cloud spending budgets and create accurate financial forecasts that integrate with the company's overall financial planning.
• Cost allocation : Implement transparent cost allocation and "showback / chargeback" models to distribute cloud costs to specific teams, departments, and business units.
• Financial modeling and analysis : Create and maintain financial models to predict cloud costs, track spending against budgets, and analyze cost trends and anomalies.
• Vendor and contract management : Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with cloud service providers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and discounts.
• Business intelligence : Translate complex financial data into meaningful business insights, often by building dashboards and reports.
• Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in FinOps and cloud technologies.

Skills / Experience :

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000.00 - $211,500.00. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the primary work location in the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
