Ryder is hiring a CDL A Regional Dry Van Driver in Smyrna, TN. Ryder regional driver can anticipate quality home time with family and friends while usually being home through the week and / or on weekends or a combination of both. A regional truck driving job typically consists of moving freight within a region that encompasses the surrounding areas. Compensation :

  • Average Weekly Pay : $1,350+

Hourly pay : $29.00 with 40+ hours per week

  • Additional pay :

    • Per Diem Pay : $50.00per night out

    3-4 nights out per week, overnights for Route in Ryder Booked Hotel

  • Bonuses

    • $3,000 sign on bonus : Pays you $1,500 at 30 days and $1,500 at 90 days

  • Unlimited driver referral bonuses
  • Paid via direct deposit weekly

  • Ryder will buy your truck if youre looking to switch from Owner Operator to a Company Employee Driver

    • Home Time, Route & Schedule :

  • Home Time : Home multiple days weekly, out every other night
  • Schedule : Monday-Friday, some weekends
  • Start time : 10pm-5am
  • Route : South region
  • Touch Retail goods, unload only

    • Equipment : hand cart

    Equipment :

  • Trucks are 36 months or newer
  • Trailer Type : Dry Van 53'
  • Day cab
  • 24 / 7 Roadside Maintenance and Company Drivers fuel up the trucks at over 800 Maintenance Facilities Nationwide

    • Qualifications

  • Must have a valid CDL A License
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle

    • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR

  • 2 years experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years experience within the last 10 years
  • Pass a Ryder Drug Test
  • Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and / or procedures
  • Must live within 30 miles of Smyrna, TN
