The University of Maine Facilities Management Department seeks applications for an Electrical Specialist CL2
Starting pay for this full-time position is $23.19 / hr.
Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Performing skilled work in the FM electric department operations and maintenance, including electrical system inspection, repair, and maintenance.
- Monitoring and troubleshooting assigned systems; processing and responding to work orders to ensure progress, safety, and compliance with policies and procedures.
- Maintaining and repairing equipment; conducting ongoing maintenance checks for safety and operational efficiency.
- Maintaining operational records, logs, and reports.
- Responding to service calls across a range of issues.
- Performing repairs and maintenance utilizing available equipment, materials, and tools.
- Coordinating repairs with university departments and other trades.
- Developing project cost estimates.
- Ordering supplies from approved vendors.
- Applying advanced knowledge to maintenance projects and service calls.
- Providing work direction and assignments to staff on project sites.
- Prioritizing worksite tasks.
- Working on high voltage equipment.
- Performing duties of a similar nature as required.
