Location : Hickory NC / Vineland NJ / Corning NY / Painted Post NY

Duration : 12+ Months Contract

Note : Nominal working hours are M – F, 8 AM – 5 PM.

Top 3 Required Skills :

  • Electrical design with AutoCAD Electrical
  • HMI / SCADA systems programming in a plant environment

Must-Have Skills :

  • Experience programming Allen Bradley PLCs (ladder logic, structured text, function block diagram)
  • Electrical system design with AutoCAD Electrical (control panels, schematics, documentation)
  • HMI / SCADA programming and higher-level communication protocols
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for process and equipment issues
  • Knowledge of electrical design practices, motion control systems, VFD / Servo programming, and communication protocols
  • Safety compliance with NEC, NFPA, and Lock-Out Tag-Out procedures
  • Ability to work independently and complete assignments with minimal supervision
  • Effective collaboration with technicians and team members

    • Key Responsibilities & Duties :

  • Create, modify, and debug Allen Bradley PLC programs for fiber optic cable production equipment
  • Design and implement new control systems and automation projects
  • Lead process improvement, capital expansion, and obsolescence mitigation initiatives
  • Mentor and train junior controls engineers
  • Collaborate with system integrators to deliver integrated process equipment systems
  • Support full project lifecycle : design, fabrication, integration / testing, installation, start-up, training, and technology transfer

    • Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, or related engineering (BSEE, BSCS, BSME, BSMET preferred)
  • 4+ years of manufacturing experience with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and automation equipment
  • Proficiency in Allen Bradley ControlLogix v20+ programming and AutoCAD Electrical 2023
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in process and automation systems
  • Ability to work independently and complete projects with minimal supervision
