License : State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license

BLS - AHA

ACLS - AHA

NIHSS

CEU Contact Stroke 4 Hours

Telemetry

Must-Have :

• Strong experience in telemetry, stepdown / surgical, thoracic, and vascular stepdown
• LVAD competency

Description :

The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care.

Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient needs.

Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.

Develops, implements, and coordinates an individualized plan of care for assigned patients through initial and ongoing assessments.

Initiates assessment based on patient problems or needs, the physician's medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework.

Performs therapeutic nursing interventions.

Manages care of patients.

Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.

Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports the adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.

Provides patient-centric care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model.

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Floating to other ICUs may be required.

Experience with balloon pumps, CCRT, ECMO devices, cardiac outputs, SWAN, chest tubes, and post-cardiac surgery patients is necessary.
