Position Available :  Shop Apprentice

R-2 Contractors is looking for a hardworking and motivated Shop Hand to assist in our shop operations. This entry-level position is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in equipment maintenance, shop upkeep, and various support tasks to keep operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities :

• Assist with sandblasting and painting of parts and equipment.
• Perform general shop cleanup and organization to maintain a safe working environment.
• Use light tools for minor repairs, assembly, and maintenance tasks.
• Help with loading and unloading equipment, tools, and materials as needed.
• Support mechanics and technicians by fetching tools, parts, and supplies.
• Maintain inventory of shop materials and ensure proper storage.
• Assist in general shop organization and inventory management.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate protective gear.

Requirements :

This role requires frequent bending, twisting, lifting heavy objects, and working in various physical positions.

Willingness to learn and work in a hands-on environment.

Basic familiarity with hand tools and power tools is a plus.

Strong work ethic and willingness to take on various tasks.

Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
