Med / Surg RN Job Details Location : Peoria, Illinois 61637 Healthcare Setting : Surgical Acute, Medical / Surgical Unit Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 11 / 10 / 2025 – End : 2 / 9 / 2026) Nursing Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM), 3 shifts per week Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Weekend / Holiday Rotation : Every other weekend and holiday Charting System : EPIC Scrub Color : Any color Estimated Weekly Salary : $1990 - $2130 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Illinois RN license (or proof of application in process) BLS certification (AHA required) At least 1 year of recent Med / Surg nursing experience Strong post-operative care and clinical critical thinking skills Excellent bedside manner and ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare team Ability to pass a comprehensive drug screen (Drug-Free Campus) Med / Surg RN Responsibilities Deliver direct patient care to post-op surgical, trauma, and overflow medical patients Perform dressing changes, wound care, IV therapy, pain management, and manage drains, NG tubes, central lines, and TPN Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including charge nurses, patient care techs, and respiratory therapists Float to similar medical-surgical units as needed, based on experience Utilize EPIC for accurate documentation and charting Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as required Attend orientation and ongoing training sessions Take the next step in your nursing career with this exciting travel RN job in Peoria, Illinois.
