Overview
Charges and discharges library materials to the public; registers borrowers; collects and processes payments from members; assists the public in locating library materials; shelves and retrieves materials; responds to inquiries / complaints concerning the circulation of materials; processes library materials and links them to a computerized database.

Qualifications
Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of six (6) months of experience in library / general clerical work that involves extensive public contact OR 12-semester / 18-quarter hours of college-level coursework (must specify on application).Preference for experience assisting the public or providing customer service (must specify on application); bi / trilingual (English / Spanish / Creole).Ability to lift 50 pounds preferred.Notes
